In this workshop, writers will learn to build a claim using evidence, avoiding emotional overreaction, and write opinion pieces that showcase their intellect and maturity.
In a small and intimate group, kids will find the courage of their convictions, through reading and reflecting on mentor texts, group discussions and feedback, guided and independent writing time.
They will leave with a finished piece of persuasive writing, and a bolstered self-confidence that will carry them through the coming school year and beyond.
